The Men's Team will find themselves up against Russia, Algeria and Hungary in the group stages of the World Cup.

Russia have picked the Garlando table. Very little is known about their players so we will hope for a strong showing against them, though we are not taking any matches lightly. We believe Algeria are mostly ex-patriot Algerians living in France and as such are very strong on their home table, Bonzini. We will have to be very sharp to take games off them on their home table, though we are confident in our ability on Tornado against them.

Our toughest match in the groups will probably come against Hungary, who have a number of strong international players. They are playing on the Garlando table. We know what to expect and we're prepared.

Finishing second in the group is not really an option, as it means we will probably face World Champions Austria in the first knockout round - so we are going all out to top the group.
