The Garlando WCS continues its tradition of being the best-attended international tournament by Brits this year, with our National Team results following suit to an all-time high of second out of fifteen competing teams. Team captain Rob Atha led the way, inspiring us to an initial confident victory over France followed by a close win against the Belgium side featuring the world number one. In the semi-finals we came up against a confident Swiss team but again managed a close victory to take us to a final against Austria who, unfortunately, continued their year-long dominance of the national scene beating us in a somewhat one-sided affair. A brilliant result for the British team who this year were finally able to have all of their best players available and play to their potential.
